Boyer’s lenses, excepting the meniscus lens fitted to many models of Photax cameras, are uncommon, poorly documented, and little-known. Saphir, f/1.4. 6/4 double Gauss. Pre-1939: 15, 20, 25, 35 for cine; 50, 75, 100 for 35 mm, 100 also for 3x4. In the ‘70s: 15, 20, 25, 35, 40, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100. Boyer reports that from 15 – 75 mm the coverage is 48º; the three longest cover 40º. These lenses can be quite heavy. With back focus around 64% of focal length, most are too short to be used on 35 mm SLRs.
