Japanned lacquer body, decorated with birds and vines, two painted glass decorated panels to the sides, one panel is signed by the artist Ikeda Sei. Fitted with two viewing lenses for simultaneous viewing. Internal bell and winding handle. Inside the viewer contains 85 x 55mm pairs of albumen prints mounted back to back. 39.5cm high. Only two of these viewers are known to exist.
