The earliest version of a 50 mm prototype lens for the later Leica copies VOOMP Pioneer and Geodeziya FAG. The inner lens mount with iris diaphragm and diaphragm setting lever were already made in the Soviet Union. At this point in time, the company had not yet produced its own external lens mounts and helicoids, which is why parts of the Leitz Elmar were used at this early stage of the experiment. The design of the aperture setting-mechanism and -lever in the here present form can be found in the later lenses by VOOMP and FAG. We only know of one other lens of exactly the same design with serial number 08.
