very rare gold plated version of a Leica IA, only 95 camera´s were made in the years of 1929-1931; in Leitz´records, only the serial numbers of 34803 - 34817 are shown for this Luxus Leica. Being a recent discovery, this camera is in fully original condition, brown lizard body covering, top plate in the rear engraved with 'Leih-Kamera', matching and original gold plated FODIS rangefinder; first delivery to Cologne on December 20th 1929, further on January 7th 1930 to Berlin and finally as 'Luxuslessa' (with FODIS) on November 26th to Shanghai.
