Leica IIIc "Heer" Reichssicherheitshauptamt Outfit
Leica IIIc (LOOQA) in chrome with engraving "Heer" on the top of the topplate. Delivered on July 21st 1942 to the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (Reich Security Head Office) in Berlin (entry "Bln. Reichsicherh." in the delivery book) with shipment number 6042. The camera offered here is the first of a series of 25 cameras delivered. With Summitar 5 cm f/2 No. 561133 with engraving "Re.370889" on the back of the lens flange (delivered to Berlin on July 03rd 1941 with shipment number 25702), flower-shaped separation in the rear lens element. Elmar 9 cm f/4 No. 576422 with engraving "Re.371124" on the barrel (delivered to Berlin on October 08th 1942 with shipment number 9139), slight dust inclusions. Spring wound motor MOOLY-C No. 5038 with vertically assembled release and engraving "Re.Z.370869" on the bottom side (delivered to Berlin on July 03rd 1941 with shipment number 25702), dent next to the locking key. The Reichssicherheitshauptamt ("Re.") was one of twelve SS head offices in the period of the National Socialism and during the Second World War. Occasionally, also Leica cameras and accessories were procured via the affiliated unit
II D 1 ("Radio, Photo and Film Systems"). In essence, Leica 250 with Leica-Motor MOOEV, IIIC with Leica-Motor MOOLY-C, Hektor 2.8 cm f/6.3, Summitar 5 cm f/2 and Elmar 9 cm f/4 are known with "Re." engravings.
