Very rare version of the early Leica IIIc for the German Air Force, with a gray body cover. The engraving "Luftwaffen-Eigentum" on the back in the vulcanite - only very few IIIc models of the very first Luftwaffe shipments were prepared like this. Also with interesting engraving error "Fl.-No. 39078" (instead of 38079) on the top. The camera in very nice original condition with red shutter curtain. The delivery to the Air Force took place on August 5th 1940 with shipment 9283. With a matching Summitar 5 cm f/2 No. 551256 "Luftwaffen-Eigentum", delivered on November 8th 1940 with shipment 19480.
