First version of the black paint Leica M2 and at the same time one of the very first ever produced. In the serial number range 948601 to 949100 only about 350 examples with a push button for rewind unlock were made.
Slight repairs visible in the vulcanite, otherwise in its original delivery condition, tripod thread 1/4".
Slight dent on the rear side of the topplate next to the left flash socket.
With two matching early black lacquered lenses with black bayonet: Leitz Wetzlar Summilux 50 mm f/1.4 Nr. 1688537 and Leitz Canada Summicron 35 mm f/2 Nr. 1654903 (depth of field scale repainted).
The Summilux with minimal cleaning marks on front lens and minimal dust inclusions. The Summicron with minimal dust inclusions.
