Leica MP schwarz lackiert / Leica MP black paint

This Leica MP was delivered to the then Leitz agency in Norway on October 12th 1957 as a silver chrome-plated camera. In the 1960s, as part of a factory repair, it was reworked into a black finished version on customer's request. The same applies to the conversion to a single stroke winding mechanism with long transport lever. Typical MP repair shell with round strap lugs. Flash sockets modified to fit standard plug. Casting number 110679. The shutter crate engraved "P-314" on the bottom. The three cut-outs in the image window, apparently for marking the side of the picture, are interesting.
