Leitz Elmarit 90mm f/2.8 Prototype

The Elmarit 90 mm f/2.8 was introduced in 1959. After a few attempts for a 9 cm lens with a speed of f/2.8 based on formula B634 from 1957, another 4 sample units were prepared in January 1959, with the modified formula B634a. Prototype serial numbers 0000283-286 were used. The lens offered here has a different, significantly more shiny silver anodized finish of the outer mount. Used condition, the inner surface of the front element with coating defects.
