Leitz Leica M Summilux-M 1.4/35mm 11730 ASPHERICAL

Of this edition only a total of 110 pieces were produced and was on the occassion to celebrate that Leica sold a number of 400.000 pieces of the Leica Summilux-M 1:1.4/35mm ASPH. FLE lenses in only a period of 10 years time. The focal length engraving and the feet-scale in grey and the Leica dot in black has a very nice touch against the serial production with yellow engravings and the red dot. Production of this exceptional lens started in 2010 and runs till 2020, so marking a total of 11 years and each year carrying 10 pieces making the total production of 110 pieces as mentioned. Each lens is engraved separately with the limited number and year and this lens has got limited edition serial number and year : 05/2014 (and regular serial number : 4812487). The thing here is, it is engraved ASPHERICAL in capital letters, which is also a distinctive feature on the very first Aspherical Summilux 35mm (Code 11873), also called the „AA“ or „double Aspherical“ since two of its elements were Aspherical, which is very rare and sought after today. The „speciality“ here is also that in 05/2014 Leica moved again completely to Wetzlar wich they also celebrated with a chrome Monochrom camera with its top plate engraved: "Leica kehrt heim | Mai 2014" (Leica is coming home | May 2014) and with a Leica S and some compact digital cameras with its distinctive „100“ limited edition engraving. The lens is brand new in the box and never used before.
