the first prototype of this Italien Leica copy by Telemaco Corsi, the inventor of the Rectaflex camera, it differentiats in details from the later prototypes; chassis number inside 028972; inside numbered 'A-1262' (in pencil), in all only 10 or so prototypes have ever been made from which only 4 are known to exist, including the very first prototype, from which this camera here is again the very first one (1001 - 1004); restored with original parts to its present beautiful state of preservation, with Type Z2 Angenieux 50mm/2.9 no.146349; shutter and rangefinder operable though inaccurate; none of these rangefinder prototypes ever made it into production
