Very rare Reid I for periscopic use for the British military. In the back marked in red AP 0553/8886 and an arrow pointing up and the number 86. With original screw mount body cap engraved „Reid“. The top plate with serial number P2016 and the base plate with very close serial number engraving P2028. I have not seen another camera with the base plate engraved with a serial number. It is very likely that in this small series of Reid I camera for this specific use the base plates were intermixed since its use. The most rare military Reid version.
